KX kickstart lever for the KDX
Check in the product reviews section for an alternative to the FRP lever.
I used a '99 KX250 boss and '95 KX125 lever on my hybrid CR/KDX and it looks like it is going to work out pretty well.
I paid $51 for the boss. I don't know what the lever goes for, I already had it, but probably also around $50.
I think the boss to lever joint is better than the FRP joint. Only time will tell if the whole assembly holds up better.
I have a document with words and pictures I'll be glad to send to someone if they give me an address.

About the '89...
The '89 lever fits on the KDX boss..but the '89 boss doesn't fit on the KDX.
That from info that's been around for a long time...I haven't tried an '89 boss on a KDX. Not much point to it if the '89 lever fits the KDX part already.
Oh..and the '89 (uh..'natch if it fits the KDX boss) has the same bogus design of an open top with a clip/washer retainer.
Kind'a the point of parts used on this thread is to take advantage of the better design of the KX250 boss.

That may be the case on the '89. I'll report on the outcome.
It just occured to me that the 200/220 series share a lot of parts with the KLX300. I checked the fiche and sure enough - they share the kick shaft. I never had a bit of trouble with my KLX kicker. Just wondering id anybody's tried the KLX lever and boss as a more robust design? Looks like a direct bolt on deal at first glance.

I've got 4 rides on this setup now, 5th in a couple hours.
So far so good. Nothing is changing or loosening or moving. The pivot still feels "greasy".
Last ride was a muddy mess. There was lots of stalling and stopping and kicking.
You'd think the KLX lever might be stouter having to kick a 4-stroke through. I don't know

Hi!
I realize the post I've quotes below is very old, but I was wondering if you still had your document?
"I have a document with words and pictures I'll be glad to send to someone if they give me an address."
