Since my bike is all in pieces, I thought it'd be a good idea to replace the piston with Wiseco Pro Light Kit and bearing.
bike is a 05 200, oem piston, cylinder looks good, not much changes since 6 months ago, not much carbon build up on top of the piston more like a bit of oil.
I remember reading somewhere that there was different size piston.
How do you know what size you need?
thx

If you're still lookin' for the cylinder letter you'll find it at the front of the cylinder near the top on, I think on a horizontal surface. The "B"s are the most common I heard . . .scheckaet wrote:great!

You're mixing a couple of differnt apples..if not some oranges, too.so the differnt size apply only if you have to bore / sleeve / replate.

..there's a joke in there somewheres.......I'm on a roll today!!!
Wiseco doesn't group their pistons according to manufacturing tolerance differences like Pro-X does.
In the stock bore, there is one size from Wiseco.
From Pro-X, there are the alpha-designations from A-G, those numbers are stamped on both the head and the cylinder. The difference between one alpha and the next is 'about' 1/2 a thousandth.
Notice that is FAR from the Wiseco differences noted above. You're not going to be picking and choosing between oversize Wiseco's in a given bore size, thus the bore/sleeve/plate idea.
Here's a cylinder alpha stamp:
