Two weekend ago I decided to take some advice posted on that "other forum" and grease the rear suspension on my 04 KDX 200. I am SO gald that I did. As I was taking the rear links and swingarm apart I couldnt believe the total absence of anything that resembled lubricant on the parts. The swingarm bearings were dry, the link bearings had what looked like some kind of lithium type grease that was already drying up. If you have not serviced your bike already, better do it quick.
One quick question, which pipe would be the best for my 04? JUST KIDDING
I'm afraid to tear mine down this winter.... gonna need a lot of bearings and grease I just know it....

I ordered a linkage kit today and already have good marine grease, Im just not looking forward to doing the job at all as they hasnt been done for years. I can already hear the needles and bearings hitting the contrete....

Roland,
Just wheel that little gal into the living room. But first give the wife some Christmas spending money and send her shopping. That should buy you enough time to do the job without dealing with a cold garage. Just don't fire it up in the house. That was my mistake.

Skipro - when I first bought the bike, I had it in the living room for a couple of days and fired it up once, too. Man that thing smoked good! Filled the whole house. Love that smell yeah, I got in a little trouble for that one
