I would agree with that statement when the first E series Dynas were shipped. However, after we got it all figured out and corrected (incorrectly machined steels) it was a breeze to install and works great. If people are having problems then it is either an incorrect installion problem or something wrong with the bike.
To be honest, if it weren't for this one little hangup near the end, the install really is pretty quick. I could do the whole thing in 30 minutes or less if nothing went wrong. (And probably blindfolded too by now.)Fatherof2 wrote:Not sure I want to go through what sped is going through.
It really favors an aggressive riding style. Has changed the way I ride.dfeckel wrote:This may just be the nature of the 'Ring. I also would like mine to lock fully at lower rpm and stay locked up as I roll into the throttle, but the lock up seems more progressive over a wide rpm range. Mine also doesn't feel fully locked up until pretty high rpm when I'm really laying into the throttle.
Sort of glad to hear I'm not alone. Here's the response I got from emailing Revloc.dfeckel wrote:This may just be the nature of the 'Ring. I'll let you guys know any further info as I get it.Sorry to read about your troubles. Not the first time and not the last one , aftermarket items can be a touchy widget.
We are on your side 100% and we can get you thru this .
The problem still lies in the assy. somehow-- We do this every day and it becomes "normal" for us. Its mental mechanical after a while, and forget some details at times.
I suspect the pressure plate is the culprit, and feel free to call my celll asap to talk more thorough on this.
Lighter springs sounds like a reasonable idea & cheap to try. Anyone have a source?SS109 wrote:Sounds like mine does. It works good but I also wish that it would lock up earlier and harder. I wish there was some way to adjust it to make that happen but I don't know what we can really do. Maybe lighter springs?
