Torque settings

well I found my wrench, but i can't find my book. can someone give me the torque settings for:

the linkage bolts
swing arm
shock

my favorite quote about torque, not sure about the source:
"speed is how fast your going when you hit the wall. torque is how far the wall moves when you hit it"

Uni-Trak Rocker arm Nut: 65 ft-lb/88 N-m

Uni-Trak Tie-Rod Nuts: 61 ft-lb/83 N-m

Swing Arm Pivot Nut: 65 ft-lb/88 N-m

Rear Shock Absorber Bolts: 29 ft-lb/39 N-m

Tighten until you feel it strip and then back off a quarter turn!!!


If you insist on using the correct torque settings.....
Rocker Arm Nut: 65 ft/lb
Shock Bolt: 29 ft/lb
Tie-Rod Nut: 61 ft/lb
Swingarm Pivot Bolt: 65 ft/lb

wonder how much of a difference 4 foot pounds make when you are already up to 61?

48 inch pounds. :mrgreen: Actually, I wouldn't think it would matter. Alot of wrenches probably aren't that accurate anyways. Or, it could snap off right at 62 ft-lb, if your luck is anything like mine. :roll:
