Wish I had the cash I would buy it and put a set of supermoto rims on it, some 14/47 gears, and street ride it everywhere! Of course, I'm about to the limit on what I can spend on bike related stuff this year.

What it's worth is whatever someone is willing to pay for it!

Me? I would pay $1500 for it if it truly is in the condition represented. I mean, how many totally unmolested, unmodified, non-abused, '89 KDX's do you think are floating around out there?

What you got for 1500? A peice of crap

Mint E bike is worth 2k easy. screw a punkin. I've spent the last 2 years working on my buddies "nice" ktm200. It's a problematic POS, that is wicked fun to ride when it's not broken.

Nice bike, but have seen too many well maintained bikes built to the hilt (KX forks, DF cage, pipe, armor, blah, blah) go for $1500.

I do agree. BUT, if it were mine and I was selling, my asking price would probably be 2k as well.

So that is what my $280 89 kdx used to look like back in the days? What a nice looking bike compared to the turd in my garage.
