Risers needed for my 220
Greetings,
Following a few riders on my new-to-me 2004 KDX 220, I noticed that the handlebar height is way too low for me.
What brand, and length, of riser is everyone using? I'm thinking I need about 2" of rise...
Also, how much rise can you get away with before longer throttle, clutch, and brake lines are requried?

Rox Risers

How do you like the Rox riser?
Did you have to install any cable or brake line extensions? I just ordered a set of Rox 3 -1/2" risers for my daughter's KX-100 but I know I will need to extend both the clutch cable and front brake line, been looking around and not sure where to go to the extensions? Curious?Mr. Wibbens wrote:I've got 2" Rox

I use these:

And I rotated the lower clamps 180 degrees to move the bars forward.

nope, no extensions
They are rock solid, I like them alot
Normal risers on my bike would be a waste of time the way the bars mount on an "E" series. With these I can get the bars up and away from me. They work great

I'm making a new mount for my odo, so now I can move the bars even farther forward. But now I have these new forks.... whole new design for my mount

I have the ROX risers but here is another source for risers. There are rock solid. A friend had a set on his DRZ400.

Great thanks! The 3-1/2 risers should arrive Friday. I was able to have a new brake cable made at work and if I can find where I put the clutch cable off the KX -125 I used to build the hybrid I think it will work? I used the throttle cable off the KX for the hybrid so the cable off the KDX might fit as well?

I went with these...
http://www.brpmoto.com/index.php?page=s ... &Itemid=49
They are solid mount (me likes), they raise the bar and and move it forward for a modern feel (me really likes). Oh ya, they also have a mount for the odo.
Double oh ya, my scotts stabilizer bolts right up (me likes part III)

I have a set like the Barrisers.com ones like Blimpman showed. I've had them for about 5 years, lots of races, many get-offs. They are simple, solid and cheap. They not only raise the bar but move it forward as well. If you only use risers , you will actualy move the bar closer to your lap. Not exactly what you want when your trying to get more room
