What Piston do the 200 H owners prefer?
I have been reading that the 220 owners use Wiseco, but just curious about the late model 200 owners.
Do most of you use Pro-X, OEM from Kawi, Vertex, Wiseco
I have always liked Wiseco, but will the forged Wiseco piston make this noisy engine even noisier? What has everyone had the best luck with?

I'm currently using a Wiseco, really only because I got a great deal on it. Yes, there is a little more engine noise when the engine is cold. Once it warms up there is no difference. The forged piston has a slightly larger cold clearance, hence the extra rattle during warm up.
For the 200, anything is fine, really. Run whatever you're comfortable with, just make sure the clearances are correct.

The Wiseco is lighter.... It is what I am going to run next time but I will be due for a plating then. Last time I did the top end, I used a Pro-X which is the OEM brand.
NEVER run a Pro-X in a 220.... sorry had to put that disclaimer in.

I agree wiseco is a better quality, lighter and stronger piston. I have been using them for years and have never been disappointed. They also do well using cheaper gas with a lower octane than 93 because sometimes with cheap or bad gas you can have some detnation witch can cause damage to a cast piston but the forged piston will take it with no problem.

That is great news as I can normally get a pretty good price on Wiseco top end kits.
Are the Moose or Wiseco top end gaskets sets good for the KDX? I have used the Moose gasket kits on our little KX super mini with great success.
