Advancer Shaft Removal
I'm trying to the the cylinder off and I can't get a good grab on the bolt behind the advancer shaft. Will removing the little phillips head free up the shaft for removal? Will anything drop into the cases?
The manual doesn't even mention to remove the shaft!

Why would you have to remove it?

I use an offset 12 point closed end wrench....
Take that clutch cable loose too and get it out of your way.

Re: Advancer Shaft Removal
BTW, If it is anything like an E you have to take the cover off to remove the shaft.VirtualVarmint wrote:I'm trying to the the cylinder off and I can't get a good grab on the bolt behind the advancer shaft. Once the cover is off your problem is solved
Just watch the shifter return spring and kicker spring when you go to put it back together

I use the torque wrench on the nuts I have access too and then put my box end wrench on them and feel how much force it takes to move them and then I apply about that much force on the nut I can't get the torque wrench on. Once you have gone around them a time or two they should all be torqued about even.
