Spark Plug Wrench?

Post by SteveWR450f »

I have been searching for a spark plug wrench the fits the KDX plug. (Yes, an open ended wrench works but I would like something smaller and machine specific to put in my backpack of tools while riding).

I have two KDXs. My new one did not come with a manual or any parts - my guess is that someone at the dealership took them. The second bike I got used but the guy included a clever small spark plug "removal tool." I would like to get another one.

I have looked at the Kawi website but can find one on the replacement parts. So my question is, did Kawi make one - if so, any ideas where I can get one. Or if they dont, can some one recommend a brand that works. I baught the Motion Pro brand that fits our plug but unfortunately it does not fit in the engine area - need something more slim. Thanks for your time. Steve

Or you can opt for something a little more fancy

Combines three wrenches in one: 2-stroke spark plug / front axle / rear axle

I have one, it's a very handy tool to have in your kit

tusk also makes a ratchet one, like a box-end wrench that's ratchetized, that works great. fits into every water cooled 2 stroke I've tried it on. Works fast too. Fortunatley I had it and another plug in my pocket when my kid'd 85 fouled on the starting line. :supz:

I feel your pain.

I lost my OEM KDX wrench after a zipper failure on the toolbag left the top flapping in the breeze.

I bought several wrenches as replacements. I didn't like them for one reason or other...one was 6 points (not enough room for that large an arc-swing on the KDX), the other didn't fit well in the bag.

I'd given up on getting what I wanted...when I found one laying out in the woods!

It's not much of a spoke wrench though...............

Good luck!
