Skid Plates, Pipe Guards - What's everybody running?
I need to get a skidplate and a pipeguard befor my first race, and I wanted to see what you guys were using. Is there any single one that's better than the rest?

I recently bought a Utah Sport Cycle skidplate from rockymountainatv.com I was really glad I had it for the race the weekend after I put it on. As a pipe guard I have one of those aluminum armadillo style protectors. Its worked great more me, pipe has a small dent (was there before i bought it though) but the guard really helps. I've landed some some gnarly rocks that would have definatly dented the pipe.
When my rev comes in I'll build one of those fiberglass pipe guards myself, those things are awesome.
Good luck on your race, it'll be one of the hardest things you've done but you'll learn so much. Before you finish first, first you must finish.
