I bought a 87 yesterday for next to nothing, I doubt I will do a full-on re-build like TW did with his, but just fix it up a little and make it safe to ride.
It came with most of the service manual and a few parts and pieces.
After I get the carb. cleaned I will start with, wheel bearings, brakes and front fork re-build.
I have wheel bearings and fork seals for my H-series along with the stock springs. Will these parts fit this 87 and would the stock H-series fork springs be a upgrade if they will fit?

Is this the running backwards bike?
M0rie is a good source of info for bikes of that timeframe...I think.

NO, but I did get it running though, it sat for 8 years with gas in the tank and carb. after a good cleaning it fired right up, I new it would. For $250 I figured it would make a good project to keep me out of trouble. I can tell this thing is gonna be a handful once it is rideable, it sounds real good, no kips rattle, air cooled, old school.
