Hello fellow KDXers!
I put a small chip in the right crankshaft seal "seat" when trying to remove it, see pics.
On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being very serious and 1 being barely serious...How serious is this damage?
Is it fixable? How?
If not say why.
Other concerns?
Thank you all!
Bike is 2004 KDX200

Re: Chipped Crankcase help!
Do you have the piece that chipped off?
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Re: Chipped Crankcase help!
IMO, that is rated a 0 = non-issue. It is only the depth stop for the seal and doesn't carry any load. The only thing I would do to it is file/grind/sand it smooth and forget about it. I would only do that as to relieve any possible stress risers.
