What should i do
Well im really thinking about doing this conversion thing. Im not sure i got the money though. But if i do i just wanted to know your opinions about what years for the kx forks were the best and easiest to find parts for. Also can i change the seals myself or would i need tools to do this?? thanks.

KDX wheel would need a custom axle made to work. The seals are pretty easy to do. You can make a seal driver from a pvc coupler cut in half. Works well if you take your time.

I would not recommend using the stock KDX wheel either. Get the whole front end as one unit in order to be sure it all works together:
1. Forks
2. Triple clamp
3. Wheel
4. Axle
5. Brake caliper
6. Brake rotor
Some parts may work off the KDX but why find out that yours is the exception and figuring out how to deal with that later.

well here is the thing, i can get someone to make me an axel i think. I want to use the kdx wheel because then the conversion is just the cost of the kx forks and the triple tree. My question is if i have a custom axel made, will the kdx front brakes bold right onto the kx forks. Im not sure if the holes where they mount are differnt. The idea of making a seal driver of pvc is a good idea, i did this for my honda forks. I just did not know if the usd's would come apart without tools. But i guess they do which will save me a ton of money. If anyone knows if a kdx caliper will fit on the kx forks and still line up with the kdx rotor please let me know. Thanks. I hope jeff emails me back saying he will by my forks so i can buy the kx forks off ebay.
