what are the most important maintenance items on KDX200
I have a 2001 KDX200, I'm the second owner and have had it for 6 years.
Since I've owned it, I've done basic maintenance tasks (change oil, clean carb, clean air filter, repacked exhaust)
I also did a top end replacement (piston, rings, cleaned KIPs) about 3 years ago.
The linkage bearings were replaced just after I got it and the shock and forks have been serviced.
Anyway, I'm planning to replace the rear wheel bearings soon, but that got me wondering...
What other maintenance items should I consider and which ones are the most important?
I don't get to ride the bike a lot, but I really like it and want to take care of it.

One thing not mentioned is steering head bearings. When I got my 200H model, the steering felt a bit notchy. Yep, bad steering head bearings. Freshly greased, but the bearings were shot.

A lot of people never replace the transmission bearings, ever. Something to think about if you’re up to the task. And replace any circlips and washers on the transmission while you’re in there. At that point you might as well do the whole bottom end . Steering head bearings (and races) as mentioned. Oh, and the linkage bearings.

Steering bearings
Swingarm bearings
Fresh brake fluid
Fresh coolant
Depending on hours, new rings

Having inspected all my bearings (which I would say are key to check), definitely swingarm and the lower shock bearing.
Linkage is much easier to take apart and grease than taking the swingarm off. I think you will find swingarm is neglected quite often - I couldnt even feel any play or any issues with mine but when i pulled it they were completely rusted and toast.
Apparently lower shock bearing gets a hard time too, and mine would agree.

I think the number one overlooked thing is just making sure all nuts/bolts are tight.
Noticed the bolt that holds the front of the seat on the tank came out. Luckily the seat held on to it. Never have seen one of these bolts come loose. A little blue thread locker, adjusted as far in to keep the seat tight, yet still slide on, and all is good. So, due to this, I decided to really go over the bike. Found that I lost both of the fuel tank side bolts. Ugh. I also found the side panel bolts and radiator shroud bolts were a little looser than I like. Didn't find it now but about a month ago I lost a bolt on the rear chain guide as well. Check all your nuts/bolts people! A little medium strength thread locker won't hurt anything.

Also grease your clutch and brake pivot points on the bars. While you are there, lube your cables. I am using some very thin 3 in one oil.

On the lube, the Belray 6 in 1 is great.

If one sprays the throttle cable, be sure to do it with the cable end outside the carburetor.
Otherwise, one flushes dirt, grease and such straight into the carburetor.

If you remove the swingarm, lightly coat the bolt in waterproof grease before putting it back through.
