Hi everyone,
I have recently picked up a 91 KDX200 and am pretty new to the dirt stuff but I am settling in nicely and I love the predictability of the KDX.
The motor is in pretty good condition but the speedo is faulty and the lights and indicators seem to draw too much power, When the indicators are on all the lights flash when the revs are low. Is there an easy solution to this? Or do I have to wire in a battery?
Also thinking of adding a Trail Tech Endurance II to solve my speedo problem (but probably adding to my power draw issue) can anyone tell me the model number for the 91?

Re: New to KDX
Welcome.
Sounds like you have a KDX200SR, does it have a metal tank and passenger pegs as well? We didn't get the SR here in the states so a lot of us have little info to share beyond what we have gleaned here and on the web.

Look up KDX200-F or KDX200-G.

Re: New to KDX
Thanks for the feedback guys. it does have a metal tank but i cant see any sign that it has ever had rear pegs and i'm sure the indicators are after market.
My next step is to have a bit of fun on it then strip it down and return it to its former glory.
Pics to follow.

All the lights/blinkers/horn run off the magneto. No battery was fitted to these models.
Check out the wiring diagram here: http://www.users.on.net/~madmitch/KDX/
Welcome to KDX rider.
Cheers
