UP safari
I watch the forum and gained a lot of KDX knowledge, never posted. Just finished a 1100+ mile ride on my street legal dual sported KDX 220R. 800 or more miles were dirt roads, two track and some single track while camping off of the bike. She ran like a dream and never let me down.

Welcome!! And wow that's awesome! Would love some details and pics from the trip
Good to hear the bike did well too. Call me crazy but I'm seriously contemplating a 5000+ mile coast to coast trip across the trans america trail on mine. I've already put roughly 13,000 miles on it in the just over 2 years I've had it (actually just turned 13k on my way to work today, lol) and it's given me zero issues, so there's not a doubt in my mind it could handle it. But always good to hear from others that have logged some miles on them too

Re: UP safari
I don't see any reason you would not make it across the trail, have your rotopac and extra oil

Re: UP safari
Indeed! I'm wanting to do it soooooo bad, just got some logistics I've gotta figure out (like how to carry 5 gallons of oil.... and extra gas, plus all the gear). I've got 2 buddies here local that just left this past saturday, from the outer banks of NC all the way to the Oregon coast. They just finished up day 6 today and as of their last post they are in Arkansas right now. Both on XR-650R's. I'm just a little bit jealousTyl3r wrote:Must be in Canada, ey? lol I agree, let us see some pics! Re: UP safari
I was able to find plenty of two stroke oil on the trip, amsoil. I kept a quart with me and used what I could buy as a first choice
