low idle? bog?
I just cant figure out what is wrong with my 93 kdx200. Put it together today, cranked it up and it seemed to be running good. but as it got hotter it bogging and wouldnt idle. The bog wasnt as bad with the choke which makes it seem like its lean but the old plug was dark which makes it seem like it was rich. Its so confusing. Any idea what could be causing the quarter throttle bog and low idle?

You said you put it together today. For the first time since you've owned it or you've had it running great before and this is new after putting back together? Best place to start is the air screw. Try 1/2 turn out from lightly seated (might be too rich at idle) and see if it still lean bogs. Has new plug and fresh gas right? Also take the fuel line loose from the carb and turn the petcock on to check the flow.

Why was it apart, and to what degree? Did it run right prior to that? There are a lot of variables unaccounted for to try and diagnose.

i didnt mean apart. had the right side off. rebuild clutch and kickstarter. it has never ran really good. It ran good cold but once it got warmed up it started bogging again. It has always bogged with a quick blip of throttle. jetting is good. 155 and 45. needle clip is 3rd position. r1172n

A leak down check would verify if the bottom end seals are good or not. Make sure it's mechanically sound then go through the jetting guide step by step
