Anyone need a video?
I tore down my '98 KDX220 and I'm doing a full rebuild. Does anyone want or need a video of anything going back together? Removing blind bearings without a special tool? Assembling the case halves? Whatever! If so, just let me know.

I'd like to see video covering the rear bearings, swingarm removal, shock removal, etc. Maintenance and rebuild stuff please.

I can do that. Curious, how come?Jason wrote:Pic looking down with the seat off. Seriously.
Hmm, wasn't planning on getting in to the rear suspension right now since I did it not long ago. However, I just might if time works out that I can squeeze it in.BamBam wrote:I'd like to see video covering the rear bearings, swingarm removal, shock removal, etc. Maintenance and rebuild stuff please.

If your regulator and CDI are in the stock spots, I want to see more about where they mount.SS109 wrote:I can do that. Curious, how come?Jason wrote:Pic looking down with the seat off. Seriously.

Re: Anyone need a video?
Picture of clutch cable routing? Don't laugh, I've tried about ten different ways and every route I try has issues. Either cable pulling tight when bars are rotated to the stop or stiff to operate due to too tight of a bend in the cable. I'm not sure if I'm being overly pedantic, or if there's a major route for the cable that I haven't figured out lol

Re: Anyone need a video?
Sadly it's not stock but this is how I have it set up. Jaguar CDI mounted against rear fender, VR on rear crossbar, and stock CDI mounted top left corner next to shock mount. I keep it on there just in case the Jaguar ignition were to crap out on me while riding.Jason wrote:If your regulator and CDI are in the stock spots, I want to see more about where they mount.
I pulled my cable completely off but I'll post up a pic once I reinstall everything.JL4049 wrote:Picture of clutch cable routing? I'd love to see a video of the bottom end going back together, if that's possible.

Re: Anyone need a video?
your first two linky's no worky. But i'll go on youtube and check it out. Just looking for tips for the step where you use the crank puller, to keep the two halves square with each other.
The third link is a good one, a damn good one. Got me right thru my first top end, no problem. I share that one a lot too. Jason - are you the original author of that TT post?
I was just going off of this thread for my first bottom end tear down/rebuild (also a very good one): http://www.kdxrider.net/forums/viewtopi ... plit+cases

Good links. I use a method similar to the first video but without the "slug".Timtee wrote:Tyl3r wrote:I'd love to see a video of the bottom end going back together, if that's possible.
