Hi all you KDX people.
Last summer I purchased a 1989 KDX 220 as part of a job lot.... The bike I was interested in was the Yamaha XT600Z which has been my on going project since the purchase.
The 1997 KDX 220 I purchased is a runner and in reasonable condition. It came with new rear tyre, new chain and sprockets.
The bike has KAYABA upside down forks fitted.
Are these forks a standard fit or aftermarket, they look nice and beefy????
I am undecided if I am going to keep as have soo much work on going with my other bikes.
I look forward to hearing from anyone with info on them beefy forks.

Pretty sure that is an aftermarket fork swap.

Umm wait a minute... maybe you could clarify year and model you are talking about. Is it a 1989 KDX 200? Or 1997 KDX 220?

OK that has to be an aftermarket fork swap. The only KDX that came from the factory with inverted forks was the KDX200 E-series, for a couple of years only.benjii wrote:My bike is a 1997 KDX220.
