Hi guys, so I got the head and carb mod done and seem to have a problem. When I shut the throttle, the revs don't drop as fast as they used to? It's like the slide takes its time dropping and I am having to pull the clutch in and/or hit the brakes to make a corner instead of shutting the throttle and just coasting?
When the bike is not running and I twist the throttle I can hear the slide snap shut, same as when it's idling, I can feel it shut.
The mods are great, love everything else about this mod, I need to get this thing fixed.

Re: Slow idle drop
Sounds like an air leak to me. Try replacing the reed cage gasket and check the clamps to the carb boot on the reed side. Could be a slight leak at the head gasket as well, so check the torque on that too.

Re: Slow idle drop
Hanging like that is usually indicative of an air leak, so as mentioned, check all your boots and clamps.

Re: Slow idle drop
Thanks guys, I didn't tighten the reed cage up enough. Problem seems to be fixed!
I'm embarrassed that I missed that.
