Hello to everyone. My name is Joe. I live in New York. I have always had a passion for KDX's and I currently own 3. A 1981 175 , 1987 80, and my personal favorite a 1987 200 with a few small mods. A set of pro series reeds and a DG exhaust. I have always loved the air cooled bikes for simple ruggedness.
People assume air cooled means slow. Here is a quick story. Last weekend me and a few friends had the opportunity to have rented a place called Twister Valley Sports complex out. They have a motocross track and a supercross track, not to mention the gncc course. My buddy has an 11 crf 450. while we were racing through the woods he thought he might teach me a lesson and tried to ditch me. After a min or so he looked back to make sure i was gone, however I was a mere 6 feet away . When he saw me he did a double take and almost crashed. We had a good laugh about it when we got back. Proving yet again air cooled doesn't mean slow and Bigger doesn't mean better in the woods.
Thanks guys glad to be here.

Welcome to the forums.
Congratulations on having a 1987 KDX200. If you have the stock spark arrestor, it is mechanical only with no damping by means of "packing".
