C George,
Had a chance to take 'er for a spin after your rebuild, I would think that it is finally warm enough in the upper East Coast by now ???

Been crazy busy at work but I'm hoping to get it out of the basement today.
I have to pull it up the bulkhead stairs with my plow truck.
And todays Mothers Day

OK ,,,, I got it out of the basement today.
The bike runs good and pulls real strong ,, but I only had time for a couple heat cycles and never
really got after it too much.
Now , lets be clear about the spacer . At this point " limited riding " I can't say that it hurt a thing as
the bike pulls nice and strong from bottom to mid throttle.
The other mods have to be factored in to be fair , as the bike now has a RB'd high comp. head , ported
intake and transfer ports, a fresh set of Boyesen carbon fibre reeds and the intake spacer.
The torque of a 220 really fits east coast riding.

Got to ride it some more tonight. A very noticeable difference in overall power.
It's a different bike ,, It pulls so much stronger ,,, BUT you have to remember that
I did the intake porting , installed a 3/16" reed spacer, new Boyesen Carbon Fiber reeds , RB experimental
high compression head " for 95 octane min. " , New Wiseco Piston all at the same time.

This one work? If not I'll just use photobucket
The cage itself is smaller to compensate for the larger spacer...They are the same height so I guess the thicker spacer wouldn't have an effect.
If you were to compare these by the actual mounting surface , the one on the rt. would be spaced out further.

Nice homemade job. Always better than a store bought one

Thanks ,,,,, am I rt. or wrong about the picture.
Sure looks like the rt. one would be shorter if you held the mounting surfaces side by side.

Just a bump of some updated info.
We have two 220's with these spacers and they run great.
Just a fine tuning adjustment of low to mid range :)
