Ok so im not a complete idiot.... well maybe. Anyway I keep seeing little hints and tid bits about people sending there motor off to someone named Fred deajkfhaklfafalhaierta or something like that, does he do rebuilds or (as the kids like to say) "trick that thing out" (not sure if that is what kids say). my bike runs fine when its not spitting large amounts of fuel and carbon out of the exhaust, im going to rebuild my carb but im curious to if my piston and cylinder are in top notch shape. I dont want to pull it apart if i dont have to, so im curious at how much this Fred guy aka KDX Guru charges and for what services he provides. if anyone has a link I would appreciate it
sorry for any misspelled words, i'm not the brightest bulb in crayon box

Jeff Fredette is without question one of the greatest riders to compete in the ISDE, riding a KDX200/220 from 1983-2007 and winning 25 medals along the way. He also does some nice work/aftermarket parts for our bikes. Another great source for engine mods is Ron Black of RBDesigns. IMO probably the best bang for your buck as far as bolt on power with his head and carb mods.

I was talking with Jeff just a few days ago after I purchased some frame guards from FRP. Turned out the FRP checkout doesn't calculate the right shipping charge to out of U.S countries
"We'll have to add on an extra $29.13 to your shipping charge due to cross border shipping. Please let me know if you'd like to accept this update before charges are processed."
What can ya do. Great source for parts though
