Tranny Vent Filter
Just something I used on our bikes to keep any dust , water , ect. out of the tranny vent hose.
The hose inserts in the hole you can see in the front of the air box.

I would find this particularly useful considering the previous owner had cut holes in the air box

If you're referring to the air box lid, most either drill holes in it or toss it altogether...if not on the lid then yeah and you ll want to fix that.Gotanubike wrote:I would find this particularly useful considering the previous owner had cut holes in the air box

Either use some GOOP or Permatex RT. Stuff to glue a black cover on each side.

Tranny Vent Filter
Yeah I will patch with some ol' JB weld and a piece of plastic of similar size to fill it. One of these days when it gets warmer ..
Either way I'll add this mod for the CCV hose, maybe not one of those fancy little filters but I'll Macgyver a piece of sponge or something

Re: Tranny Vent Filter
It's a Napa 3011 filter cut off ..... $4.00 +/-
Many companies make the same thing . My local dollar store has them for small engine use , as it's a fuel filter.

Re: Tranny Vent Filter
yaaaa, I found my vent line missing, and exposed to all the nasty stuff the rear wheel kicks up. :-(
routed a new line way up there by the radiator, with a 3" drop to prevent ingress.
I like the ideas with the filter, looks good!
