Which H model had the best graphics?
I'm buying all new radiator shrouds, green side panels, front fender and graphics for my 02 200. Which year had the best looking graphics? I'm also switching to a blue seat cover as a throwback to the 80's era kaws. I may even use the 1986 kx250 radiator motif if I don't change my mind, but which stock graphics for the shrouds would you guys recommend?

Easiest may be Factory Effex 2002 OEM style.

The 2006 scheme vaguely resembles (perhaps as tribute to) the mid 80s KXs.

for 40 bucks, I felt like these couldn't be beat...
Here the link to them on egay...

As soon as I searched on there...these came up too...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/FACTORY-EFFEX-E ... 86&vxp=mtr
If I would have seen those second ones when I was originally looking... I'm not totally sure which one I would have picked... I like em both.

Very nice. Looks great with black fenders. For $40 either is a solid choice.

I'm partial to the stock graphics on my old 03.
No offense, Monster graphics just seem played out in my opinion.

Along the same lines, there is absolutely nothing that is more tacky presently common in the dirtbike world than a bunch of what would be really nice-looking and restorable EVO-class (or even a little newer) bikes out there with rattlecanned black plastic.

Yep those are kinda what I like. I thought about the monster graphics just to have something on the bike, but I just have seen way too many goons with monster graphics, no offense. Every spray-painted clunker on Craigslist has monster energy graphics and no muffler lol. If I can't muster the cash for new plastic I probably will just buy the monster kit, so what do I know lol.adam728 wrote:I'm partial to the stock graphics on my old 03.

I like the stock 2005 graphics with the black seat. I'm not sure what the deal is with the Monster graphics but in my opinion, the stock graphics are a helluva lot more stylish and give the bike a "serious" look. The Monster kit (in my opinion, no offense, and please keep in mind that I'm no trend setter) makes the bike look like some kid's KX125 instead of the brilliant woods bike that it is. I also think the stock enduro fender, tool bag, and headlight bucket are part of the glamour of these bikes but a lot of guys seem to yank them off so what the hell do I know.
The real question here is what kind of graphics you like. As far as we're concerned you can glue rubber lizards all over it and make yourself some fenders out of popsicle sticks.

I think you should be the first to do a Hello Kitty version of the KDX. Rubber lizards have probably been done already.

I am biased but I love the late 90s
AFAIK nobody does a repro of this style? I am considering a second pair of rad shrouds with the 02 style graphics so I can preserve the originals...
