Easy clean up
I've heard there are spray coatings for the bike that would make it easier to clean after a ride. Any suggestions? That red clay is a pain! lol

Re: Easy clean up
When the bike is clean, I spray WD-40 under the fenders and stuff, sometimes on the outside of the plastics too if its really muddy out. Its pretty cool, the mud just beads and rolls right off like a freshly waxed truck lol. It also doesnt stain or anything. I was leary at first cause i thought it would turn my white plastic brown and my other plastic dingy, but it doesnt.
I could see Armor All working too, I just dont have any at the house. I just use the WD-40 cause its sitting on the shelf right next to the bike.

X2. WD in the jug. Used it on late model race cars for years, which could accumulate 200lbs of mud in a heat race.

Might sound stupid but I use no stick cooking spray. Smells like breakfast when the motor warms up!!!

Yip...spray on canola cooking oil works a treat, needs to be applied just before you ride as it goes tacky after a day or two. Also great as air filter oil and as a general anti rust spray. When I find out what canola is i might even use it in the kitchen.

Easy clean up
any silicone spray works well (dont get it near the tyres or seat ) ..the dirt/dust may stick to it at first but it washes off real easy with the likes of `muc off` or what ever bike cleaner you use...apply when the bike is clean & this will give your plastics/frame & nice shine plus help any rust from forming

Re: Easy clean up
A guy at work was just telling me about a coating for plastics that absolutely nothing will stick to. You only hafta put it on like once a season too. He said it's some kind of nano technology stuff? Anyone hear about this? He couldnt remember what it was called.

Saw a youtube video of that stuff the other day. It was awesome! Made a cinder block waterproof. Guess what else was awesome...the price.

Re: Easy clean up
Thanx, everyone. As far as appearance goes, I'm not too concerned about that. Not to say my bike is ugly but, not judging a book by it's cover REALLY applies in this case.
