keihin pwk air screw adjuster
Hi guys...a machinist over here in the UK has just made up a batch of adjustable air screws for the pwk carbs in alloy (ktms kdxs huskys etc)...no need to dig out a screwdriver to make adjustments as they are longer than the OE screws so can be adjusted by useing only your fingers!...ideal for out & about on the trails. I have just purchased one for my kdx, i am unable to put up a link but if you go onto ebay uk the product number is 151012469653 , the price is good & he ships worldwide too...check em out!

Doesn't look bad. I wonder what the shipping to the US would be?

9.00 GBP's international shipping. Pretty cool, though.

yep thats the one...i also purchased one of his throttle screws made from alloy for my kdx too as my plastic one was chewed which made adjusting difficult, it is a slighty different design to the one in the ebay pic (knurled end rather than the butterfly job) works a treat & very easy to tweek...if you order one just state its for a KDX & that you require the knurled adjuster tip...I recon if there`s enough interest in either the air screw or both the adjusters perhaps someone on here maybe able to work out a deal with the supplier/maker to purchase & ship a discounted batch out to a trusted member on the forum who in turn can sell them to members state side for a fixed price? ..just say me (alan from the UK) is a kdx rider member who has fitted & recommended the products, i`m sure he will appriciate the business & kdx riders will appriciate their new adjusters!rbates9 wrote:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151012469653; ... 26_rdc%3D1

That would probably be the way to do it. The shipping is just as much as the part. But if some one had enough interested people to get a bunch of them the shipping would probably be about the same as for one.
RB makes the air screw in the states but he will only give one up with a carb job. He is getting about the same price as the over the pond version shipped.

I would be happy to try to organize a group buy, if it's something that enough people are interested in. I would certainly like to have one myself!

But if you only want the screw RB isn't much help. He (as far as his web site claims) will only give one up with a carb mod. The brass is probably a better material to be made of but aluminum should work fine too.

Re: keihin pwk air screw adjuster
The spring set-up is the way to go. I just wish RB would sell them separately.
I made an extended air screw once. The combination of the extra weight and length caused it to vibrate loose. I couldn't figure out how to adapt a spring like the RB design to keep constant tension on it.
Wow - I didn't realize I did that so many years ago: http://kdxrider.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=7966

I know this is an old thread but I am looking to get an extended air screw again and wanted to see how much interest they is from others to try to get something as a group and maybe save some $$.Julien D wrote:I would be happy to try to organize a group buy, if it's something that enough people are interested in. Re: keihin pwk air screw adjuster
It would probably be better to have someone over here turn some out in brass or stainless but with the provision for an external tension spring. But depending on the price I would be interested in at least 1 if not 2 or 3.
Ps: Am I the only one that doesn't have any of their subscriptions showing up?

Re: keihin pwk air screw adjuster
I'm sure if you got a group by together RB could be swayed to turn a bunch out. Might as well just have him mod your carb, and get one that way though

Re: keihin pwk air screw adjuster
He doesnt sell the airscrew alone. like fuzzy said, if we had enough commitment for a group buy, perhaps he could be persuaded to turn some out for KDXRIDER members.

No, I wouldn't expect so. Its posted right on the site that he sells it only with the carb mod. I will shoot him an email regarding a group buy, but no promises.rbates9 wrote:Still no reply.
