Hi all,
At the end of november I hit a stomp and broke my left foot.
I was back at the shop today when an "old tech" told me about a kind of crash bar he had on his enduro bike when he was young..(after market feet protectors)
Did anyone know this system and why it seems to have disapear from "enduro" ?
Thanks !!

Re: "enduro crash bar"
Sounds like the 'case savers' ive seen on european allroad machines like the honda transalp
Basically a subframe that bolts to the frame of the bike and acts like a skidplate would...only sideways

This is the injury that I fear the most just because it happens so often in our little woodsy world. I conciously ride with the balls of my feet on the pegs to prevent this from happening. At least when sitting.

I spoke again with the guy at the shop, he told me the "enduro crash bar" was custom made somewhere around Chicago in the 70s ...
