stupidest question i ever had to ask about a bike

Post by diymirage »

allright guys
in the 5 days i have owned mt KDX i have gotten myself stranded on the side of the road twice for the same stupid reason...this bike refuses to run without gas in the tank

so, here is my stupid question....on the fueltap...does the lever point towards the position it is on or does it rest on the position it is on?

on my old bike it would point so if the switch was in reserve the handle would cover the word "reserve" and point to the word "on"

but in starting to think the tap on my KDX is the opposite

any thoughts ?

It rests on it. I know what you mean, my xr is opposite in that it has a little arrow on the lever which points to the position.

when the carb runs dry, you have to tip the bike on it's side to fill up the carb again. learned that the hard way after a rebuild.
