BROKEN WRIST AND CRACKED RIBS

Post by KDXer »

 To cut a long story short (mainly because its frustrating typing one handed AGAIN) I was out riding and someone on a punkin tried to come out and around to overtake me and got totally out of shape and ran into the side of me knocking me off. I have done the scafoid on my left wrist and cracked 2 ribs on my left side so will be out of action for a while. Now no wise cracks about my broken bones as it effin HURTS to laugh......

Thank you and not too sure on the timeframe, I'm just pi$$ed off as I have booked and payed for a large annual ride that is on in 10 weeks.

The bike is perfect, barely a scratch. I wish I were as lucky.

Ouch. Sorry to hear about that. I have broken my left scaphoid before too; thank God it healed without the screw my ortho doc had planned for it.

Hope you get to feeling better soon!!

Ouch! Sorry to hear about that. One of my riding buddies broke his scaphoid a few weeks back, we call him "Indian Mace" now... He was riding while standing on his seat down a dirt road and thought that he could do it no-handed as well, he was wrong. He's not a fearless teenager of my age either, A class racer and a father who's son I ride with. Funny thing is that his son watched the whole thing. His doctor told him he cant ride for something like 6 months, he's really bummed right now.

Hope ya' feel better soon. :partyman:

Imagine your wrist in a vise done up fairly tight and thats about how it feels. The ribs are worse than the wrist pain wise.

Thanks for the kind wishes guys.

I Broke my scaphoid on Oct. 15, 2006 & wore the cast till Dec. 29, 2006. 1st ride was in April & it was a bit sore but works fine. I was told 6-12 months before the wrist is close to 100 %. Thats after having the cast removed.. Keep it elevated & DRUGSGSGSGSGSGSG work toooooooooooo. WOOOHOOOO
