tail bone

Post by johnkdx220 »

Have you broken or fractured your tailbone? :butthead:

If you did or want to prevent having to walk like a duck for approximately one month, here is the solution I found (besides not falling Roland C. ..):

Hootsgear makes well padded, yet flexible, undershorts that include tailbone padding. Usually popular MX clothing brands don't include the tailbone protection.

I bruised it real well one time while skateboarding. Well, I wasn't really skateboarding when it happened, but I was a fraction of a second before it happened. :-) That can be a painful injury!

I wear the Rock Garden 055 CYA Shorts. Slid on my ass during my last Hare Scramble and they did COVER MY ASS. Well worth it

I was looking at some of those awhile back. They may not be a bad idea if your really pushing it. I may just pick up a pair of those. Hitting that part of my body is something thats always worried me with all the roots and rocks sticking up out of the ground. I still sport a pretty good scar on my forarm from not wearing elbow pads  , so I'm slowly comming over to the smart side of protective equipment.

Thats wierd, I've got a scar also on my forearm and was wearing elbow pads. Got a six inch scar ontop of my forearm. And the extra padding makes me feel a bit better mentally

If you care about protection on top of your arms, hockey elbow pads have anti-slash plates that wrap over the top. Kinda hot though.

I have the Rockgardn Elbow guards that have the neoprene wrap around the upper part. When the weather is cooler I wear the Rock Gardn setup, when it's hot, I mix & match
