HOLY S!#*!!! That looks seriously bad and way too freakin painful! How did you manage to get your foot caught between a stump and your peg?

The grass at Hood River, OR. is a couple inches taller than the stumps. I was cutting to the inside of the trail and shifting up, never even saw it. The next thing I know 4o+ MPH becomes being thrown sideways in extreme pain. I slam into the ground 25ft from my bike and can't feel my toes
I left my boot on and kept the swelling down for awhile, but god damn it hurt when the feeling came back. I guess I have some free time for making KDX parts!

Ouch! Heal up quick I need someone to show me around the Hood. That almost happen to my 7 y.o. son last weekend. He was going around a corner with a big rock on the in side of the trail. the rock was just the perfect size to catch his shifter and spin him sideways. Bent the shifter up bad but no smashed toes luckily.

Dude! Damn... That is BRUTAL!
I caught a foot on a stump this weekend too, but nowhere near this bad! Kinda ironic, i was just commenting on a guy in the parking lot wearing tennis shoes to ride. Thanks to my boots, nothing was broken.

For the record I was wearing Alpinestar Tech 3 All Terrains. I'm only stating this again because I will not ride with anyone not prepared for war.scheckaet wrote:we should rename this: "that's why you don't ride with sneakers..."
I think you can see why, I ride to the limit of my equipment.

Actually, I think you went a bit beyond the limit of your equipment in this instance....
Just sayin.

I would love to leave a witty smart ass comment, but my friend when your right your right. I don't think any boot on the planet could have stopped this kind of impact. It was hard enough to knock my left side chain snail all the way around to 1. I feel very lucky to be walking.Julien D wrote:Actually, I think you went a bit beyond the limit of your equipment in this instance....
