Mr. Inda:

Can the image command be used with an IP number?

If so, what is the format:

...well...there wouldn't BE any http stuff..but you get the point?

Should be just like the domain name... just make sure it is calling to an image.... i.e .jpg, .bmp .tif etc.....

Did that. All I ended up with was the text (Image (alt+p) )

I missed something no doubt.

I'll give it another shot.

Thanks!

Inda:

Sorry. I still don't get it.

The following is what I put in a thread reply..even making a folder called 'images' (if that mattered). It is permitted to be shared. It does show a voided box (it understands it's supposed to be an image)..but it doesn't show up as a picture.

Is the address formation wrong? Or is it a permission thing?

192. whatever is a private IP address... not a public one. Nothing will post using 192.xxx.xxx.xxx

Well, that's it, then.

I thought I could use this PC as a host cuz it's on all the time. Did NOT know that '192's are not allowed.

That answers that!

Thanks!

Sheeshh..the things I don't know! What a huge stack-o-stuff!

A BTW if I may? What happened to the 'delete thread' option. I don't see it now, don't know when it went.

Thank you for the help!!

In the FAQS:

"Please note that normal users cannot delete a post once someone has replied."

So at least the board thinks your normal!

I missed this 'cuz I guess my 'normal' 'subscribe to thread' option didn't work.

Well...now we know how screwed up this board software is, 'eh? ;) (I mean...if it thinks I'm 'normal')
