Gallery size

Post by canyncarvr »

OK.

But give me a bit to get it done. I have no resizing software on this machine (it IS supposed to be a work PC after all), so I'll have to download them all, take 'em home, fix 'em, upload 'em again.

One of the gallery options will resize the intermediate pic...why not the 'final' (or whatever you would call it)..

I presume since you were clear about the download, resize, upload steps that there IS no way to do that ON the site, right?

Thanks.

OK OK.. So I got some freeware that will do the trick...probably a whole lot better than the PhotoShop crap I have at home.

So it is written, so it shall be done!

Just a simple resize is fine... no real hurry... just wanted to get the word out.

I don't know why it won't let ya resize the final... probably because you can limit file size I imagine.

Don't worry guys... I got some to resize myself! I didn't really notice too much until I did a backup of the site and it took forever. 640x480 is a good size to shoot for!

Thanks!

Sir, Yes sir!

I realize that a 'simple' resize would be a good thing...but still, I din't have no sofware to get that done.

But I do now! And it even works!!

Don't need software! Just view it in it's "intermediate" size and save it! Simple...right?

Backups, yes - backups are good.

Hey Indawoods, are you hosting this shindig from home on a machine you set up or is it outsourced to a hosting company? Just my geek curiousity...

Sure...if you want the intermediate and 'final' size to be the same.

What's the point of that?

Of course...at a dinky 6x4 'final' size, there ain't much difference 'tween that and a thumbnail! ;)
