How do I post Pics?

Post by jafo »

Hey, how do you post pics in the forum area? I'm tired of feeling like a moron having someone post pics for me. I'd rather do it that way then mess with the gallery section for posting new parts pics or stuff.

You can't directly...

It has to be an image linked from another site or the gallery.

Use the (POST REPLY) button instead of the quick reply, or...

type exactly like this below

[img]address%20of%20picture[/img]

If you want to ask about a problem on your bike, yu could put a picture in your gallery, then for most Windows people, right click on the picture to see the address, highlight it, hit ALT-C for copy (press and hold the Alt key, then hit and release C, then release Alt), then when you want to put the address in a message, just put the img starting tag, then ALT-V to paste the address and the ending /img tag.

If you use the (POST REPLY) button, you can click on the (img) button, put the address, then click on the (/IMG) button.

Clear as mud?

Or go to a post with a picture attached, click on quote, and you will see what that user has typed to get the picture to display. That's how I originally learnt.

Thanks for asking. It seemed everyone knew how to do it except me, but the FAQ wasn't clear to me either. Great explanation. Inda - you may want to add detail to the FAQ. Justa suggestion.
