Display Local Time

Post by m0rie »

Any way to make the forum display my local (Pacific) time? Everything being 2 hours ahead throws me off a bit.

Naer Mind, I found the option in the User Profile section. You might want to edit the list to be more user friendly, GMT +/- seems like a kinda odd way to present it.

Sorry, I didn't make that very clear did I? I was thinking more like the way windows displays the GMT offsets in its Time Zone list.

Example:

(GMT-10:00) Pacific/Honolulu
(GMT-09:00) America/Anchorage
(GMT-08:00) America/Los Angeles
(GMT-07:00) America/Denver
(GMT-06:00) America/Chicago
(GMT-05:00) America/New York

Basically the way you have it now but with additional info.

Well... I have always known my GMT zone and I assumed everyone else has also. It is hard coded into the BBS and have never tried to look for it to change. This is Unix based and more a tech based software. No Winders here! I will look at it...

Twas just a convienent example. We've got Winders here only because thats what I've got to support on the desktop. My Dev machine has Slack all polished up and purdy looking  When you find it in the BBS code let me know and i'll paste a full list into the post.

JasonWho,

I'm not really sure, I found it a while ago when I was looking for pictures of Mages/Wizards/etc. I liked it and thought it would make a neat avatar, thus its use here. :-)

Looks good to me. I've got a list that has a couple locations for each time zone if you want it?

It's a KDX forum, not a geopoloitical / world peace effort. :-) I think it will be fine.
