Hi, Jason. Welcome! You should share some pics of your KDX in here. I'm glad to hear the shrouds are selling well.
My shrouds came in yesterday in perfect shape - Thanks for the parts and for helping me figure out the payment. Now to figure out the best graphics for a look that's as close to stock as possible.
And thank you, Chuck, for that list of graphics suppliers. The Gillimoto tank bums me out that it has Gil 1 molded super-huge on it and uses screws into the plastic for the petcock. I've never seen anything like it and it strikes me as a really crappy way to attach a petcock that will eventually tear out the tank.

There's a faded OEM purple KDX tank on eBay I believe I just saw, or perhaps one of the Facebook groups, $100, FYI! If I see it again, I'll copy and paste the link.
KTM used those plastic thread petcock screws for many years as well for some reason, on OEM tanks at the petcock only...not shroud bolts etc. Odd. GiliMoto stated they could make a special order KDX purple tank with the brass inserts for the petcock threads if requested, but it'd cost $280 instead of $199(?) or whatever their standard price is. Bummer but it's better than no one making them! The Gil1 is large but somewhat subtle, I can live with that.
Now to see if my spare backup used faded OEM purple tank will actually accept and hold fuel without cracking! I've heard you should first introduce diesel fuel into an older plastic tank when fresh out of long term dry storage, before putting gasoline in, to acclimate the dried out plastic to the solvents a bit more slowly to prevent them from rapid exposure/absorbtion which leads to cracking... I need to do this before spending any more time restoring the UV faded exposed portions from the bike it was on being stored outside for years....

Cheaper than Dirt X Industries, & also USA made heavy duty graphics! I'm having them do a custom pair with the KX checkered flag background and asking about side plastics number plate graphics. I'll see how the quality is, but may just order several sets if bulk pricing is very enticing...
