'03 200 got some problems
The son says he can't start his bike. The bike hasn't been ridden much since last summer. So I mix up some fresh gas and install new plug. Now I used to be able to start this bike by hand. Now it's hard to kick. And the kick lever doesn't seem to engage or meet resistance were it should. I did manage to get it to fire but it didn't stay running.

Harder to kick huh? Weird. I’d take the clutch cover off and inspect the mechanism to make sure nothings binding. If that’s okay then I guess next I’d reckon something in the motor needs lube or replacement.

Did you drain out all of the old fuel? Did the old fuel have ethanol?
Any carb cleaning? (possible sludge in float bowl?)
Either you are the local strong man or the bike was real weak on compression, if you were starting it by hand.
I'd take the pipe off and see what it looks like inside the cylinder.
