so ive been out of the kdx game for awhile. i picked up a 98 200 a week or so ago and finally got it together and running. i took it for a quick little spin around the farm and it just seemed to run out of fuel. i got it back to the house to make sure it was getting fuel and it most definitely wasnt. i turned the petcock so it covered the "on" position and little to no fuel came out, then i put it to where it was covering "reserve" and it had plenty of fuel and fired right up....my question is, when i turn the fuel on, so i point it towards the position i want the fuel, or have the "thingy" cover the position i want the fuel in. thingy as in knob, or whatever you call it. i know when the fuel is off i have the knob covering the off position, thats what got me all mind bottled. maybe the petcock is bad? because i can turn the petcock in a full 360 degrees. but on my 95 200 tanks petcock, it doesnt turn 360 degrees, so i may just switch the petcocks

the whole lever will turn 360 degrees.

The stock petcock only turns 180 degrees. It's probably from another bike

Either from another bike or needs to be rebuilt. Never seen one that turned 360. It's also possible that the run side petcock filter inside the tank is plugged up but the reserve one isn't.

I'm going to take the petcock off the other tank I have for now because it turns 180° like they should.
