Kickstarter Ball Bearing

Post by nls2299 »

I've searched for this but found nothing.
Everyone says that their set screw on the kickstarter arm falls out and so does the spring and ball bearing...well my set screw is gone, but the spring and ball remained. Had to use needle nose pliers to pull out the spring, but the ball will not come.
I've got new ball bearing, new spring, and new set screw.
Anyone have a tip to get the ball out?
I've tipped the bike over...no luck.
Was going to just remove the arm itself, leaving the rest attached to the shaft...no luck.

Take the circlip off securing the lever to the boss. hit it with some breakfree and gently nudge the arm off with a hammer while rotating it back and forth. That's how I did it anyways on my old TS185.
