I am attempting to remove the throttle cable from a 2001 KDX220 to replace it.
The cable will not slide out of the carb top.
Am I missing something simple?

Unscrew it from the cable holder.

I did that (I think), but it is stuck where the tube bends 45 degrees.

Odd, I remember it just sliding out at that point.

I was finally able to remove the throttle cable from the carb top.
A screwdriver did not seem to help, but this straight pick from Harbor Freight helped line the cable up with the 'elbow" and then it easily slid out.
