Just purchased 99 KDX200

Postby HSV-Dirtrider » 10:47 am Dec 04 2017

Just purchased a 99 KDX200 but it didn't come with an owners manual or service manual. What are the proper settings for the air screw etc... ?

Also it has stock suspension what are the best clicker settings to start with for woods riding. Also same question for the amount of sag on the shock?

Thanks!

Also does anyone have the part numbers for the CEL and DEL needles? I would like to order them.

I forgot to mention the bike came with the FMF GNARLY pipe and FMF silencer. There was a little spooge coming out of the silencer and I could tell by riding it that it wasn't jetted properly.

Welcome to kdxrider from a fellow AL member.

You can download the owner's manual from the Kawasaki site.
The air screw is going to be 1 1/2 turns out stock, but you need to adjust it for your bike specifically. 100 mm on sag, then check your race sag to help determine correct spring rate for your riding weight (all geared up).

CEL and DEL are Keihin part numbers, so maybe you can find them just by those letters??

Pick your gasoline, oil and ratio, then start at the pilot jet and work your way up.

Again welcome to the site. :boogie:
Thank you, Julien D for all your hard work!

Before I bought the bike this is the needle that was installed, as per the dealer paperwork. What needle is this? I want a DEL or CEL but I am pretty sure this isn't one of those... LOL.

Please don't start a new thread asking a needle question, then copy and paste the same question in this thread.
