What's everyone running on their bikes? Just looking to change mine over the winter and wasn't sure on what feels good on these bikes. Keep in mind I'm 6'5" and 200lbs

I like the CR bends. I've ran both the Mid and Lo's in the past, liked them both. Being that you are taller, you may like the Hi bend.

I just put some Outlaw riser/fat bar adapters with Renthals. I have no real ride time with them yet, but they feel way better than the beat up aluminum Tusks that were on there. That’s just from cruising around the hood a bit.
I am only 5’9 and generally put risers on all my bikes, it makes them feel so much more manageable. For me.

Same here. Had some Pro Taper EVO Carmichael bars laying around and my stock bars were done, so I got some oversize PT mounts on ebay. Took a few inches off bar ends and can say I wish they were a tad higher as well for me at 6'. I like them a lot compared to the stock junk tho.

That is how the PO had it set up. I’ve actually been meaning to look up the way it is supposed to be organized on the bars. I just layer it all out to about what he had on the bars I removed.
Does it look way out of whack?

I think he means the half waffle grip. Typically the smooth part is facing up and the waffle facing down. It's a good idea to have the kill switch mounted on the other side of the clutch perch so you can hit it easily with your thumb incase of an emergency.

Ahhh! I got ya. I was completely unaware of a proper grip position. I will look into that. I didn’t even pay attention to their orientation and design.

Check various bikes on gooogle images (does not have to be KDX) and compare.

Right on. I’ve replaced grips on my other bikes and they are generally all one design. Is this just a dirt bike thing?
I may have been doing it wrong the whole time! [emoji23]

Cockpit question, same bike part area, no biggie.

We are all here to learn and read.

I just put on Renthal 7/8ths silver aluminum CRF150R adult bend handlebars (with built in brace).
They are approximately 2.5" taller and .5" farther forward than the stock steel bars.
This and I rotated my bar mounts 180 degrees for an extra .5" forward positioning.
So 2.5" taller and 1" farther forward with no adapters or risers which add weight or move you further back if clamps are at an angle.
They cost $72 regular price. The aluminum alloy is the same as the Renthal fatbar, aerospace 7010 T6.
They come 30.7" wide which is better for narrow woods trails although you can cut them down a little more.
I am 6' 4" tall and look (farther) forward to trying these. The 1.25" to 1.75" taller seat does not hurt either.

Do these 1-1/8" fat bars reduce vibration/fatigue or are they more about the cool look and/or strength.
To make the switch to fat bars, is there a recommended riser mount brand that works for a KDX? Maybe with that solid top connecting clamp...

The 1 1/8" bars are reported by some riders to reduce both vibration/fatigue.
RMATV has a tusk universal big bar clamp for $30 that supposedly works on a 2001 KDX220.
However the odometer looks like it will not fit on it without modification.
