KIPS Valve Alignment

Post by bergilong »

I tried my hardest to get this thing aligned and I am almost certain that I did, but how can I be sure. I was doing this top end with the engine in the frame, so it was kind of hard to see. This isn't my picture, I was using it as reference. Image I have an H model BTW.

Does the wee dot not line up with the line on the rod? If so that picture is spot on.

That's not my picture. I was using it as a reference. How would I be able to tell my powervalve when it's running?

On the left side of the engine you can remove the round cover and run the engine. around 6k rpm you should see the valve rotate. This video shows it pretty well.
