Kickstarter and seat cover

Post by superfsh »

Looking for some product recommendations from the forum. This is an '03 200. The seat cover is ripped but the foam is good. The kickstarter is getting the bends from being kicked so much.

For the kickstart...you either have to get a new knuckle for it or get an 03 and up KX250 knuckle and you can run and 03 and up KX125 or KX250 kicker. I tried them both on my hybrid, neither fit right so I kept the KDX knuckle and arm on it. Then I tried them both on my dual sport KDX. Neither seemed to fit nicely for me. Maybe the shorter 125 arm, but I didn't care for it much. I know others have used both and made them work. Search around on here, lots of info.

Kickstarter and seat cover

If the knuckle is worn (rounded off) you can take it apart and do some welding on it to build it back up, then file it to fit, it helped mine.

Nope, it is steel, I just welded mine up and filed it last weekend, no more slipping boot!

My stock kick lever has a decent crack where it bolts to the knuckle. I was looking at other options but think I am just going to get a new OEM kick lever and knuckle.

What is a good seat cover?
