Suggestions on a shifter

Post by Northhawk777 »

The shifter on my 96 kdx 200 is really short and hard for my boot to shift. Yes the boots are broken in and such, it's just not my cup of tea how it feels. Any suggestions on a longer shifter or a different angle? Anything is appreciated!

I have a 96 and I went through some shifters last season the one thing I learned is go with steel. I bought a fancy aluminum shifter and it sucked hard, it striped out almost immediately.
If you had a choice to date supermodels for the rest of your life or ride dirt bikes, would you choose a 2-stroke or a 4-stroke?

If you went steel it would be easy to have a section added then bend to your requirements. I don't know but I would think they would all be roughly around OEM lengths.

Have you tried different shifter positions? Well, if you can find one, MSR did offer a shifter that was about 3/4" longer than factory but I don't think they are made any more.
