My finished kdx pictures

Post by rashad »

So I had started the thread in the new member section about my bike, but rather than beat that topic to death in the wrong forum I figured I'd post up the finished product...

Here is what I started with:

And here is the finished product:

Looks great!

Why'd you switch from the black tank to a green one? I'm starting to like green better myself, but I have a hunch (maybe I'm wrong) that most people like the black tanks better, as it's the more "updated" look.

welll.... I broke the black one.. or rather, the previous owner made me. The bolts were seized in many spots and I had to drill them out.. and in turn I broke the tank and caused it to leak. So i bought the green one from a member in the classifieds... I think the black one would be better looks wise as well.

Well, that's a good reason to switch. For the life of me, I can't understand why people have to crank the %#@& out of those bolts.

This is what was actually done... Wrong bolt, wrong thread, forced into it... I still cringe thinking about it.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that's not the only problem you found with that bike.

BTW, what's with those (old) green sideplates? Are they off of an early 90s KX or something like that?

I believe the are from an older kdx or kx... Either way those and the fmf pipe that came with it DO NOT fit this bike.
