I started looking for kdx220 cases on ebay, and found one that seems to have a hole in the same spot? That's not supposed to be there is it? Seems too co-incidental to have a hole in the same spot on my case and this one for sale on ebay:

That hole is fine. It leads to the space where the transmission sits.

But man, I can't believe that seal!

It also looks like the area around the seal was beat on. What does the other seal look like?

Yes, that hole is supposed to be there, but that is not the right seal for sure. You will want to pull the flywheel and check the other side as well, may find a bunch of oil hiding out in your flywheel cover. :shock:
