doesn't look like a bad deal at all. For reassurance I would atleast pop the top and see what the piston and bore looks like just in case. If that doesn't look bad then it prolly wasn't run without one. Atleast this way you know for yourself what you have and what your gonna have to put into it. The airbox and whatnot you should be able to piece fairly easy.

Could be a nice project best of luck.

already checked the top end. all looks good. it needs the airbox and a coil to get it running again. maybe some other odds and ends. but for $340 im not gonna complain.

Air box shouldn't be too hard to get, you will need some fork boots as well (and clip that zip tie holding the brake line to the fork). Check your chain guide too as it appears to be missing the lower portion.

the lower part of the chain guard is missing. the forks are leaking but i have the originals off my 02 kdx and they are in great shape. the boots are good on them too. i will probably get some newer model klx 300 forks and put them on eventually. thats what is on my other one and i love them. it will be a little while before i get started in it but i am anxious to do so. would like to make it just like my other one.
